Robert (Bob) J. Farmwald 1937 – 2018, of Burton, 81 years old passed away peacefully in his home on July 21, 2018 after a long battle with cancer! He was born to John and Sarah Farmwald of Middlefield on June 1st, 1937. Robert was married to Mary Schmucker Farmwald for 61 years. He served in the United States Army from 1958 – 1960. He worked at Lincoln Electric in Euclid, OH for 26 years. He served his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ faithfully for 56 years at Huntsburg Baptist Church and often said throughout his illness that he was ready to go to heaven to be with Jesus! He enjoyed sports of all kinds – he was a big Indians, Browns, and Cavs fan! He loved to fish, golf, play baseball, travel, play Rook, and spend time with his family!
Robert is survived by his wife Mary, his six children, Patricia (Edward) Marchiny, Sandra (Bryan) Wunsche, Janice (Thomas) Farmer, Marilyn (Kip) Green, Robert, and Heather (Dave) Fisher. He was blessed with eight grandchildren, Anthony Marchiny, Stephanie Green, Aaron Marchiny, Jacob Green, Caleb Green, Fiona Fisher, Hannah Marchiny, and Simon Fisher. He is also survived by his sisters Betty Spencer of Hopedale, OH, Catherine Byler of Sarasota, Florida, and Sally Miller of Southington, OH, and by his brother James Farmwald of Huntsburg, Ohio and many nieces and nephews!
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Sarah Farmwald, his brothers Daniel and Johnny Farmwald, and sisters Loma Siples, and Marian Farmwald
Calling hours will be at Russell-Sly Funeral Home in Middlefield, OH on Thursday, July 26th from 4:00 – 7:00 PM.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Huntsburg Baptist Church on Friday, July 27th at 11:30 AM
A private family burial will take place at Slitor Cemetery preceding the Celebration of Life Ceremony.
