Robert Everitt Wildman, 89 of Middlefield, formerly of Mesopotamia and Southington passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at UH Geauga Medical Center. He was born on March 18, 1929 in West Farmington, son of George E. and Lydia (Everitt) Wildman. After graduating from Mesopotamia High School, he proudly served in the U.S. Army 1950-1952. Robert was a truck driver for Liquid Carbonic Company. He was a member of the Mesopotamia United Methodist Church. He enjoyed reading and loved cheering for his grandchildren in all their activities. Robert was very humble, dedicated, and loyal to his family and loved his dog “Toby”. He was the type of man who would give you the shirt off his back. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
Robert is survived by his companion of 13 years, Rosemary Richards; two sons, Dennis (Diane) Wildman and Ronald (Pamela) Wildman, two daughters, Kaye (Mark) Dillon and Linda (Chuck) Black, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and his sister Dorothy Lippitt. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother James Wildman.
A Gathering of family and friends will be held 10:00–11:30 AM with a Celebration of his life at 11:30 AM with Military Honors on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Russell-Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 West High Street, Middlefield, OH 44062.
