Joetta Cummins, 67, of Mesopotamia, Ohio passed away Wednesday morning, June 20, 2018 while surrounded by family. Joetta was born December 8, 1950 in Cleveland, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Andrew and Amy (Bryant) Brown. She was a 1969 graduate of Lincoln High School in Cleveland, Ohio and worked for National City Bank. In 1995, Joetta married her high school sweetheart, Robert A. Cummins, and moved to Mesopotamia where she enjoyed volunteering within the community. Joetta loved the Lord with all her heart and had a special love for the elderly and any animal in need of a home. She enjoyed the simple things in life such as hot coffee, a great yard sale and making her home and garden beautiful. Joetta was happiest telling stories and laughing with family and friends. Her kind spirit, love for people and ability to make everyone feel like family are just a few things we will all deeply miss.
Joetta is survived by her beloved husband, Robert; daughter, Dena (Josh) Tromp; brother, Roger Brown; sister, Judy (Paul) Arnold; extended family and dearest friends. She was Auntie Jo to her much loved nieces and nephews and their children. We will never forget the sunshine she brought to our lives.
