Joan F. (Kobylak) Shaw Komar, 76 of Middlefield, Ohio passed away Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Blossom Hill Care Center. She was born on August 18, 1941 in Cleveland, daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Bollo) Kobylak. She was a 1959 John Adams High School graduate and received an Associates degree in Accounting and Business Management. She was a secretary, a pharmaceutical assistant and former owner of the Yankee Lady Bed and Breakfast in Middlefield.
She was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church, volunteered at St. Vincent De Paul Soup Kitchen, and loved making cards and jewelry.
Joan is survived by her daughter Kathy (Sam) Tuttle; her step daughter Judi (Mike) Kustra, step sons, David Shaw, Dwayne Shaw, Jeffrey (Donna) Komar, Jonathan (Penny) Komar, Kevin (Shari) Komar, Kenneth (Michelle) Komar; and 18 grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Norman Shaw in 1993 and her second husband Kenneth Komar in 2009.
A Memorial Mass will be held 10:00 AM Friday, July 20, 2018 at St. Edward Catholic Church, 16150 Center St., in Parkman, OH.
