Harold G. Wheeler, 69, a son of the late James and Ethel (nee Klick) Wheeler, passed away following an extended illness on November 25.  He was born in Canal Fulton on March 1, 1949 and was currently a resident of Hiram. He is survived by his loving companion, Donna Snider, along with his six brothers, James, John (Amy), Richard (Patricia) Larry (Kim), Dennis (Joanne), and Michael (Shelley), in addition to numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.  He was a proud veteran of service in the United States Marine Corps and a member of the Masonic Lodge. 

For many years he was employed as a welder and in oil and gas pipeline construction along with his brothers.  Having grown up in a farm family he had a deep love of animals, which was evidenced in his ownership and care of horses with his companion for several years.

Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday November 28, 2018 at Russell-Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High St. Middlefield, OH 44062.  Visitation will also be held from 5:00-8:00 PM Thursday November 29, 2018 at Sanders Funeral Home, 218 E. Nassau St. E. Canton, OH 44730 where there will be a Masonic Service held at 4:45 PM, prior to visitation.  Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, November 30, 2018 at Sanders Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Smith officiating. A private family commitment and interment at Rose Hill Cemetery in Massillon will follow the service.
