Doris Joy Evans, 86 of Chardon, formerly of Chesterland and Highland Hts., passed away Friday morning, July 13, 2018 at Holly Hill Nursing Home. She was born on September 27, 1931 in Cleveland, daughter of the late Elmer and Else (Krueger) Klawon. After graduating from Collinwood High School, she attended Kent State. Doris worked 30 years in customer service at Nela Park Headquarters for GE in Cleveland. She was a member of the Burlington Oval Book Club in Chardon and a member of Young of Hearts in Chesterland. She loved to go on boat rides, traveling, and cooking. She will be missed dearly, by her family and friends.
Doris is survived by her daughter Hollis Smith, her son Russell Crow, ten grandchildren, Rebecca Burns, Samantha Crow, Jon Crow, Lyndsey Smith, James Smith, Scott Crow, Nick Crow, Katie Grams, Ashley Crow, and Alexa Crow; and 5 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband William Evans; her son Scott Crow; and her brother Russell Klawon.
