Betty J. Janson, 92 of Middlefield, formerly of Mesopotamia, passed away Friday, July 13, 2018 at Briar Hill Health Care. She was born December 4, 1925 in Steubenville, Ohio to the late Victor W. and Ursula (Deemer) Glover. Betty resided in the Mesopotamia / Middlefield area for the past 60 years. She was a member of the Mesopotamia United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women (UMW). Betty enjoyed baking, reading, playing cards, spending time with friends at the Middlefield Senior Center, traveling, laughing, sharing stories, and eating out with friends and family.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters June Shirai of Scottsdale, AZ, Susan Fuson of Florence, KY, and daughter-in-law Christine (Alan) Stern of Bristolville, OH. Grandchildren Patricia LaRue, John C (JC) Janson, Kenneth Janson, Amy Fuson, and Joshua Hardy will miss talking, laughing, and baking with Grandma Betty. Great grandchildren Jaime Sanborn, Kelsie Sanborn, Logan LaRue, and Mason Hardy will miss GGma’s stories.
Betty’s siblings Irene Colgan of Edgewater, FL, and Victor Glover of Warren, OH will miss reminiscing and laughing about past shenanigans with Betty.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Janson, and her son, John J. Janson.
A private graveside service was held at Fairview Cemetery in Mesopotamia.
A Celebration of her life will be held at Mesopotamia United Methodist Church, 8800 State Route 534, Mesopotamia, OH 44439, Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Pastor John Bramley will be officiating.
