Betsy Lee Williams, 67, of Windsor, passed away May 20, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 28, 1951 in Chardon, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Murray and Amelia (Donahue) La Moreaux. She married the love of her life Ralph Williams, and they enjoyed 16 ½ years until he passed away. They moved to Windsor, Ohio where they went on to raise their family. She worked at Blossom Hill Nursing home in the Housekeeping Department and retired from there several years ago. She had also worked as a bus driver for the West Geauga
Head Start. Betsy was a member of the Geauga Amateur Radio Association and her call sign was “KD8BIB”. She collected owls, angels, and hummingbirds. She enjoyed her Bible studies at Cornerstone Bible Church and being a HAM radio operator. Betsy was a very good cook and her family will miss her No Bake cookies. She loved her family to pieces and will be deeply missed.
Betsy is survived by her daughters Leigh (Shawn) Smith, Jacqueline (Matthew Welch) Williams, and her son Daniel (Carolyn) Rhodes. She had eight grandchildren, Samantha Smith, Shawna Smith, Ella Rhodes, Benjamin Rhodes, Jade Welch, Sabrina Welch, Zachary Clay, and Christopher Clay. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ralph Williams, a brother Mark La Moreaux, and a sister Laura Clarke.
Visitation will be Friday, May 25, 2018 from 3:00 pm till 6:00 pm., and a memorial service will follow at 6:00pm. Burial will take place at a later date.
