John Richard "Dick" JacquesOctober 21, 1933 ~ October 28, 2017 (age 84)
John Richard “Dick” Jacques, 84 of Middlefield passed away at his home Saturday, October 28, 2017. He was born October 21, 1933 in Bergholz, Ohio to the late Richard Jacques and Pearl (Starn) Jacques-Hannan. He was the owner of Middlefield Auto Wrecking for of 40 years. Dick enjoyed antique/junk cars, listening to country music, and was an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Fan, was a workaholic but would always enjoy a good western or an episode of Gun Smoke. He was also a member of the Old Man’s Breakfast and Mini Mart Club where he would play the Lottery.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Darlene (Flitcroft) Jacques, whom he will have been married to for 65 years this coming December 31, 2017, his children, Dick (Linda) Jacques, Jr. of N. Bloomfield, Cindy (Scott) Lillibridge of Burton, three grandchildren, Nicole (Larry Elwood) Jacques of West Farmington, Heather (Nick) Tromba of Burton, and Shawn (Alicia) Lillibridge of Burton, six great grandchildren, Wyatt Elwood, Evan & Addison Tromba, Gavin, Brody & Aubree Lillibridge, three brothers, Richard (Mary Ann) Jacques of Bristolville, Dennis Hanna of Florida, and James Hanna of Texas. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Norma Turner, Linda Hannan and a brother Michael Evans.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM until his Celebration of Life service at 8:00 PM, at the Russell-Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High St, Middlefield, OH. 44062, with Pastor Bob Richardson officiating.
